1. Meeting called to order at 12:14 MST
Directors in attendance: Sharyn, Vic, Duane, Sheila, Dale (via Skype) and Rhonda (via telephone)
Duane moved to adopt the minutes from the previous meeting of March 15, 2014. Seconded by Sheila.
2. Focus of Today’s Meeting.
-Decisions that can be made to move forward.
3. Dale moved to suspend the sale of the cabin until our fall A.G.M. Rhonda seconded.
Sheila wants us to move forward as soon as possible with putting the cabin up for sale and not to wait. Rhonda and Sharyn agreed.
Results of the motion I for and 5 against. Motion not passed.
5. Sheila volunteered to be the liason person between the group and the realtor. Sharyn seconded.
We all voted on Sheila being the liason. 6 voted aye. Sheila’s role is to delegate tasks, to communicate with the group, to set up the listing, receive feedback and questions from other directors and do follow-up.
6. Present options for proceeding with the sale:
Realtor:
Sheila moved that we retain Jane Hoffman as our realtor. Rhonda seconded. All 6 said aye.
-Sheila to find out what her commission is and report back. Grace’s commission was 7% on the first $100,000.00 and 3.5% on the rest. If Jane’s is the same we will go with that. If it is more, Sheila will consult with the group.
7. Contract Jane Hoffman as our realtor. Sheila to ask Jane Hoffman to recommend a lawyer to us. Sheila to report back to us and find out the fee structure of the lawyer.
– Sheila to be reimbursed for her expenses.
-Vic moved that the listing agreement may be signed by Sheila. Seconded by Rhonda. The vote was 5 in favor, 1 abstained.
-Sheila to consult realtor and lawyer regarding the dock license.
-Sharyn to get a copy ofthe most recent water bill and the minute book from Jennifer.
8. Easter work bee: Duane and Paulette, Sheila and Dale plan to attend. The work bee tasks may include:
-power washing of the deck and walkway, painting of the deck and walkway (Dale will pick up paint for this), cleanup of clutter (eg. Plastic inflatables in boathouse, chairs that are broken, extra tools).
-Sharyn expressed interest in having the Horseshoe ceiling fixture which hangs in the living room and the electric winch in the boathouse.
Vic expressed interest in the angle grinder and the boat. He also wants the bear claw ashtray which is his.
9. Dale reported that he has made a plan for the company, Buckmaster, to come to the cabin to spray for carpenter ants. The cost will be approximately $500.
Dale has also inquired of one company regarding a survey certificate. The estimated cost is approximately $1100 to $1200. The group agreed that Dale will get two other quotes and if they have approximately the same fee, Dale will go ahead with the first company and have the survey done.
10. Next meeting to be held on April 27th, 2014 at Sheila’s house unless we decide otherwise.
