Disposal of garbage and yard waste

Each family block takes responsibility for disposal of waste and recycling during their time at the cabin.

North Westside Waste Transfer Station

Cost

Access to North Westside Waste Transfer Station (Bouleau Lake Rd, on the way to Vernon) is paid through our yearly membership in the “North Okanagan Rate Payers Association.”

This station takes yard waste (branches, pine needles etc…) and several types of recycling. (See Details)

NOTE: A membership card is NO LONGER REQUIRED, as of Summer 2022. Simply say you are from Fintry.

Kelowna Dump

We have access to the Kelowna Dump.

There is a flat rate cost to dump a utility trailer full of garbage/discarded items.

Vernon Dump

We do not have access to the Vernon Dump

However, if you say you are from Vernon, you can use it. (Vic’s report 2022)
