Disposal of Recyclable Items

Each family block takes responsibility for disposal of waste and recycling during their time at the cabin.

There are two possibilities:

1-North Westside Waste Transfer Station

Cost

Access to North Westside Waste Transfer Station (Bouleau Lake Rd, on the way to Vernon) is paid through our yearly membership in the “North Okanagan Rate Payers Association.”

This station takes yard waste (branches, pine needles etc…) and several types of recycling. (See Details)

NOTE: A membership card is NO LONGER REQUIRED, as of Summer 2022. Simply say you are from Fintry.

West Kelowna drop-off depot (See Details)

This is is an excellent place for recycling a whole range of items including: electronics, small and large appliances, lighting, and media. They pay for Copper Pipe, Brass, Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Automotive Batteries, Radiators, Electrical Wiring, Xmas Lights, Catalytic Converters and SCRAP METALS**: Tin & Steel, Lawnmowers, Barbeques, Car Parts, Bicycles, Metal Furniture & Shelving, Hand Tools, Garden Tools, Nuts, Bolts, Nails
